SOLAR is an inter-disciplinary research and development team. We specialise in new forms of action research and participatory practice to support learning and change in complex social and organisational systems. One core focus of our attention has been to develop systemic approaches to action research.
We work with organisations and systems where social outcomes and social responsibility matter. What we offer is not for those who seek a “quick fix”. Finding solutions to deep-rooted social and organisational problems involves a commitment to continuous inquiry to support long-term sustainable change. We only take on projects that have the potential for working creatively and innovatively with complexity.
We have facilitated an extensive range of action research projects. We supervise PhD students, and we host regular Collaborative Inquiry Forums and Events to which many people of international repute contribute.
