Overview of PGR procedures
- Research degree students must register at the beginning of their studies and each year thereafter.
- Within three months of first enrolment, research degree students must register their project using Form RD1.
- Both MPhil and PhD students must complete a progression examination(which includes a written report and viva) and provide annual monitoring using Forms PR1 and PR2.
- Final examination arrangements (Form EX1) and thesis title must be submitted three months before the viva.
The Faculty Research Degrees Committee (FRDC - part b) is responsible for approving registrations and any changes to registration, arrangements for progression examination, monitoring and referring final examination arrangements to the Univeristy Research Degrees Committee for approval. Any forms for approval at the FRDC (part b) must be submitted 2 weeks before the RDC meets to either:
- Frenchay - PGR Administrator, Research Office, room 2A08
- Glenside - PGR Administrator, Research Office, room 1K22
